This year's WPC saw Akaibu touchdown in sunny Orlando, Florida. As a partner focused independent software vendor, WPC is a hugely important time for us. It gives us a chance to meet new partners and keep in touch with current ones.
This year a host of partners from a variety of backgrounds descend on Orlando. Akaibu was able to talk to hundreds of people, sharing a stand with long-time partner bluesource.
The Keynote speeches were as lively as usual. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella gave his interesting take on a variety of topics including cloud computing, collaborative working, productivity, security and virtual environment. COO, Kevin Turner also gave an entertaining talk, and even took a few swipes at some rivals including Google and their Google App product. Our favourite talk was presented by Steve "Guggs" Guggenheimer that featured an app for tracking cows that proved there is literally an app for everything these days.
You may well have seen the Akaibu and bluesource branding as it was on display in a number of locations, especially on the escalators to the keynote speech as well as to the upstairs meeting rooms. We hope the message was clear, Akaibu and bluesource were the best discovery at WPC so if you want to find out why please get in touch.
Overall it was a very enjoyable and productive three three days. We can't wait for next year!
